You might be Vata type in case you have a thin and lean physique and tend to walk notably fast. Normally, you have rough and dry texture of skin and keep getting fissures on soles of feet and in palms, and your skin tends to wrinkle early. Also, cool of the winters or cold environments are just unbearable for your being.

Vata Dosha Type – Basic Nature And Constitution 

 

  • People having Vata dosha dominance would generally look physically weak with their muscles and vein tendons visible. Their skin gets cracked, rough, cold and dry.

 

  • Ayurveda Vata dosha becomes visible with the physical built as well. These people are either very tall or short with a thin frame revealing bone joints. The hair is scanty and eyes are lusterless.

 

  • These people perspire less than others and are comparatively sleepless.

 

  • They have erratic digestion and prefer hot drinks.

 

 
Imbalance in Vata Dosha Types

An imbalance in Vata causes an unhealthy body. If this dosha, gets higher than normal, results in ailments like high blood pressure and dominates with growing age. Nervousness, irritation and gas are the common problems occurred by Vata constitution.

  • Thoughtlessness, constipation and congestion are the frequent ailments caused due to low levels of Vata.

 

  • Individuals with Vata Dosha disorders will have short memory, little tolerance and low confidence.

 

  • Typical health problems that are faced by them are headaches, abdominal gas, dry coughs, lower back pain, constipation, anxiety, earaches and hypertension.
 


Vata Type – Self Care 

 

 

  • In order to combat Vata imbalance, one needs to take charge of his diet and routine just like serving a close friend.

 

  • Keeping the stomach empty would invite aggravation of the air body humor or the Vata dosha. The meals should not be too heavy but more frequent.

 

  • The individual should adequately meditate as it is the best medicine to relax all senses.

 

 

  • The exercising routine followed, should be relaxing and moderate. Walking, swimming and Hatha Yoga are beneficial forms of exercises to cure Ayurveda Vata constitutions.

 

  • A balanced diet plays a vital role in curing any and every ailment. Ayurveda believes that as Vata is a cold dosha, all warm and soothing foods like warm milk, butter, cream, hot cereals and stews facilitate Vata balances.

 

  • These individuals should never skip breakfast. It is advisable to take hot cereals like rice or wheat cream in their meals.

 

  • Herbal tea and snacks make a nutritious diet to balance Vata. However, high caffeine drinks should be avoided.

 

  • As dry and cold sensations characterize Vata, hot and oily food items can balance their disturbed levels.

 

  • Unripe fruits should be avoided because of their high astringent content.
