There are 5 sub-doshas of Vata dosha which when imbalanced, can further lead to ailments.

Prana Vata Imbalance – Hiccough, asthma

Udana Vata Imbalance – ENT diseases

Samana Vata Imbalance – Diarrhoea, anorexia

Vyana Vata Imbalance – diseases all over the body

Apana Vata Imbalance – diseases of colon, intestines and urinary tract.
