Question : Why did you decide to write a book about Ayurveda and women?

Answer: Women’s health is an important topic especially in a country like USA. Women are mothers, matriarchs, nurturers. In the last 12 years, I have helped thousands of women through the ancient practice of Ayurveda, rituals, Vastu, meditation, and some spiritual guidance. Unlike India, women here don’t have a lot of support from family and community.
For the last few years, so many of my students, clients, friends, and the community has been asking for me to encapsulate my experiences, and, teachings of Ayurveda into a book.

Question: It seems to have a lot of things -from VASTU, Ayurveda, yoga and meditationwhy so much in one book?

Answer: I really wanted to encapsulate a full picture of restoring body, mind and spirit by including ancient rituals and practices of Ayurveda, Vastu, mantras, meditation and creation of altars to invite healing and balance to a woman’s life. Unlike India, where we are obsessed with Vastu, or even Jyotiṣa—people here are not. If someone has a south facing plot and door and they live in an area where Vastu is really disturbed, how will Ayurveda work? Environment affects us, right?

Question: Tell me about these six steps of healing that you have incorporated?

Answer: The six steps of healing are inspired from Saranagati or bhakti texts. This book -the idea is to invoke blessings from the divine feminine.

These 6 steps are –

Become the observer
Acknowledge what you observe
Create Intent
Cultivate New Habits
Work on the Mind. (Body follows)
Surrender.

I have added little tips and activities that a reader can do at home to help them
in a physical and spiritual practice, irrespective of their religion.

Question: I noticed that the price is only Rs 108 here in eBook in amazon India and in US it is $10. Why did you decide to keep it low?

Answer : We wanted the book to be available to everyone and were conscious of the price point. Ayurveda and the Feminine has been published in Amazon Kindle as an eBooks and also as a printed version. In fact, we made it
available for free in Kindle unlimited.
