Ayurveda Remedies for Respiratory Ailments

  • For respiratory disease, decoction prepared from the Ayurveda herbs Vasa, Vacha, Pippali and Mulethi makes a wonderful and effective Ayurvedic herbal remedy.
  • Another Ayurveda remedy may be prepared by using the herb of Betel. To prepare this herbal remedy, you can mix some juice extracted from betel leaf (5 to 10 ml approx.) with freshly ground herbs of basil, mint and ginger. Add about 2 to 4 freshly pounded pepper to this paste. This preparation can be taken as half a teaspoon twice along with some honey.
  • Cinnamon is also a destroyer of phlegm. It therefore makes a good ingredient in making of Ayurveda remedy for respiratory maladies like common cold, bronchitis, allergic cough etc. Cinnamon powder may be added to equal quantities of black pepper powder and a few drops of ginger juice. These herbal ingredients are mixed together and taken along with some honey.

Ayurveda Remedies for Digestive Ailments

  • You can prepare Ayurveda remedy to enhance your digestion. For this, take the Ayurveda herb powders of dried ginger, rock salt and black pepper in equal quantities along with a glass of warm water preferably before meals.
  • Another Ayurveda herbal remedy is to prepare a decoction by boiling mint leaves, basil leaves, ginger, large cardamom, a pinch of asafoetida and some crushed black pepper. Approx. 20 to 40 ml of this decoction may be taken 2 to 3 times a day with some mishri or honey added to it.

 

Ayurveda Remedies for the Joint Disease

  • As Ayurveda remedy for joint pains, the herb of Ginger may be used as for providing hot fomentation in the disorders of Arthritis and other forms of joint and muscle pains. For this purpose, the powder of dry ginger is mixed into oil of sesame seeds and massaged into the joint.
  • Ayurveda herbs of Guggulu, Rasna, Ashwagandha etc make effective herbal remedies for joint pains.

 

Ayurveda Remedies for General Debility

Natural Ayurveda herbs have been highly valuable in the making of Ayurveda remedies for debility and general weakness.

  • For example for preparing an Ayurveda remedy, you can pound one teaspoon of the herbs of Shatavari and Ashwagandha and a decoction is to be prepared by adding half a cup each of milk and water. When water evaporates, the mixture is to be removed and allowed to self-cool. This is to be taken along with sugar or honey added to it.
  • The ripe fruit of Bilva is quite nutritious and boosts vigor and energy. This can be crushed and made into Ayurvedic herbal remedy syrup by adding some sugar into it.
