Ayurveda Micro Blog

A good digestion goes a long way in determining our health and overall well-being. And it holds true not only for what we eat and drink, but also what we experience, feel and sense, or just about anything we take in from the environment. Follow Ayurveda Digestion Tips to stay fit and healthy.

  • In order to avoid feeling fatigued and bloated, try and complete your dinner before 8 pm. Otherwise, toxins tend to accumulate in our bodies and do not allow us to wake up fresh and clear.

  • Give yourself a short break after every meal. Relax or go out for a short walk subsequently. Studies have shown that these short, post-meal walks are way more effective than going for a regular, longer walk, once every day. This also helps in controlling sugar spikes in our body.

  • Devoting 20-30 minutes to meditation, twice a day really helps in restoring the body’s own ability to digest (both the food and the emotions).

  • Try and release negative emotions by staying positive, come what may. A lost appetite, heartburn, feeling nauseated or even a nervous breakdown are symptoms of being emotionally disturbed, and this largely influences our digestion, since our digestive track is unable to function as efficiently as otherwise.
