The fats in coconut are medium chain fatty acids (MFCA’s) which can be more easily digested and converted into energy, thus actually enhancing the fat metabolism. Rather it is being suggested that in case you are overweight, you need to take to coconut oil so as to metabolize the fat that is already present in your body.
