6. Top Four Ayurveda Brain Tonic Herbs: Enhance your Brain Powers Naturally

According to Ayurveda text, the balance of the three body humors viz. air, fire and phlegm or the Vata, Pitta and Kapha doshas when gets disturbed, tends to manifest itself both in somatic as well as psychic spheres.

• Vitiation of the Vata dosha destroys mental sense and gives rise to grief and infatuation.

• When the Pitta dosha or the fire humor of the body gets aggravated beyond its normal limits, may lead to mental states of fear, lust and grief.

• Similarly, imbalance in Kapha causes lethargy and in-discrimination.

These dosha imbalances disturb both the body as well as the mind. Although the predominant factor in case of mental disturbances is believed to be an increase and imbalance in the two mental states of the brain viz. Rajas and Tamas. These two states are ascribed to Iccha (Desire) and Dwesha (Repulsion). 5. Understanding Ayurveda Doshas – Vata, Pitta and Kapha

Dosha is the Sanskrit term for “that what vitiates.” Thus, doshas are the humors that imminently make up the body and yet they are very easy to be vitiated. Ayurveda believes that as and when the three humors are in the state of natural equilibrium, these tend to sustain natural well-being. And on the contrary, when the doshas fall out of balance, then these are reason enough to make the body ailing. Imbalance in Dosha causes Disease. The three doshas vata, pitta, and kapha get easily influenced by our everyday diet and lifestyle, wherein the doshas lose their equilibrium. They tend to either decrease or increase in the body and this makes them to result in forming of a disease. Vata, or the air, is responsible for eighty types of ailments. The pitta, or fire, humor accounts for forty types. The third, kapha, or the phlegm body humor, results in production of twenty types of maladies.

4. Clearing Ayurveda Myths : Ayurvedic Medicine Myths and Facts

Ayurvedic Medicine is Difficult to take

This is true to some extent, as the medicine in this field requires to be adjusted to a medium that would enhance its properties. Most of the classical drugs are available in the form of powders, tablets, syrups and chutneys. Yet, these days a majority of pharmaceutical companies have come out with effective patent drugs in easy tablets and capsules form. These are quite effective as these mostly contain extract form of the medicine / herbs.

Ayurvedic Medicine is Non-Researched

I would not agree to this false belief because our inherent pathy of Ayurveda is age-old and time tested. Since times immemorial this system of medicine has been in use and has proved to be result oriented and justified. It would be of good concern to ponder over the fact that the same herbs, herbal drugs and formulations that had been used hundreds of years ago are still in use. There has been little or no replacements whatsoever.

Ayurveda herb remedies not only help to strengthen the liver and restore the appetite but are also effective for treating anemia and indigestion. These natural Ayurveda herbs act as liver tonics and have a combined action on the liver and the entire digestive system. These natural herbs help correct both the liver disease and also restore proper functioning of liver. As the liver disease progresses, there is a considerable increase in the Pitta Dosha, which is the element of fire inside the body. Increase in the Pitta Dosha tends to give the skin pale yellow color Also, since the bile does not go naturally into the intestines, the stools of the patient suffering from liver disease lose their brown color and become pale. This further leads to impairment of digestion, loss of appetite and feeling of vomiting. Sometimes there is pain in the region of liver and it is tender to touch as in case of liver diseases like jaundice and hepatitis.
